In 2018 the school was awarded School Enhancement Programme funding by the Department of Education.
This vital funding will allow for a capital works scheme to enhance our current accommodation. There will be no change to the school's admissions and enrolment numbers. Upon completion of the new extension, rooms within the existing building will be refurbished to provide much needed storage and resource space. Our two mobile classrooms will also be removed.
We are very excited about this project. A planning application has recently been submitted and we hope this will be progressed without delay. The current building is listed (Grade B2). As with any building work, officers from the Education Authority & Department of Education will ensure compliance with the planning authorities. We thank these officers and the design team for their hard work on our behalf.
The project will greatly improve facilities at the school and enhance the children's experience. We will keep you updated as the project develops.
We are delighted that our planning application for a new four classroom extension, Nursery & building refurbishment was approved by Armagh Banbridge Craigavon Council Planning Committee on 10th April 2024.
Thank you to the staff from Education Authority, Department of Education NI & Ostick & Williams who have worked diligently to get us this far.
When completed, this project will make such a difference to our entire school community, but especially our pupils.
We eagerly look forward to the construction phase of the project, which we hope can be advanced as soon as possible.
