In Lurgan Model Integrated we are...
...one school, one family, one community.
Our school was founded over 160 years ago as a school for all children, irrespective of religion. We continue to build upon this founding principle and its legacy.
Today, we are a school where children and adults of all faiths, races, cultures and social backgrounds can come together to learn with, from and about each other in an environment of openness and respect.
At Lurgan Model Integrated, we seek to provide a learning environment, where everyone feels safe, valued, respected, cared for and encouraged to achieve their full potential.
We think of our school as a diverse family and we are very proud of all our pupils and staff, their achievements and the caring, supportive environment we provide.
To learn, grow and develop effectively, our children need nurtured and loved. As a school, we strive to scaffold an array of appropriate support around each individual child that meets their developing needs and encourages them to be all they can be. We aim to ensure that all our children have their educational, social, physical, emotional, and pastoral needs fully met.
As an Integrated school, we recognise, value and aspire to uphold the NICIE Statement of Principles for Integrated schools and the core tenets of Equality, Faith & Values, Parental Involvement and Social Responsibility.
Our children are growing into an ever-changing world. We therefore encourage the development of skills and the acquisition of knowledge that will help prepare our children to grow into confident, empathetic and responsible adults.
We believe passionately in the transformative power of education and the positive impact it can have on individuals, families and communities.
We want our children to become passionate life-long learners who can make a positive contribution to the world around them and who are equipped with all the attributes that will enable them to chase their dreams and fulfil the hope of a better tomorrow.
