Loose Parts Play
We worked in small groups during our learning through play session outdoors to use the large and small loose parts to create lots of different things! We had so much fun working together, sharing ideas, sharing resources and equipment and designing our wonderful creations. We developed physical skills through heavy lifting and also through more detailed work using fine motor skills. We had to use our intellectual skills such as designing and building, problem solving and working on stability and balance. We shared ideas, developed our language skills and took turns. We also experienced a sense of pride and achievement when we got to showcase our finished creations to our peers 🤩 We had some wonderful creations including a Christmas tree, an aquarium and a beach hut! What fabulous learning through play, Year 2 🤩
