Our topic in Numeracy this half term is SHAPE. As part of this topic we made 3D shapes using straws and blu tack. It was a lot of fun and taught us a lot about the properties of shapes.
Fine motor skills stations. Each morning Year 3 have been working on their fine motor skills including activities to strengthen their tripod grip and gain more control over writing tools. We had been using scissors to cut paper and play dough, pencil and colours to develop more control and even tweezers to grab objects working on hand/eye coordination. These activities have been a fun way to start our days as well as really helpful for developing valuable skills needed for Year 3. Here are some photos showing a few of the stations.
